John Maschi served for 32 years in federal law enforcement with the Department of the Treasury, U.S. Customs Service, Office of Investigations and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Investigations.
He was assigned to a number of executive and command positions within both agencies. During the past four years, Mr. Maschi was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge at the Miami Field Division with management responsibility focused at the Miami International Airport. He supervised complex investigations concerning international drug smuggling conspiracies, money laundering, immigration investigations and Miami International Airport critical infrastructure security measures.
Mr. Maschi has conducted a vast array of large-scale complex domestic and international investigations and prosecutions. He supervised more than forty Special Agents and had oversight of a multimillion dollar enforcement budget. In addition, he was the liaison between the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy and U.S. Homeland Security.
Mr. Maschi is certified by the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies and has conducted numerous ship security risk assessments and implemented security measures and procedures to reduce vulnerabilities against unlawful acts of terrorism. Mr. Maschi has received numerous performance awards, commendations and letters from local and federal agencies, the U.S. Attorney’s office and members of the international law enforcement community.
